| Danish's
Jes Gram-Hansen took the overall prize from the 12 top International
skippers invited to compete in Grade One Cap Gemini Match
Race Event in Sundsvall, Sweden.
The final between Jesper Radich Johansen and Jes Gram-Hansen
was a meeting of old rivals, who first butted heads as schoolboys,
and later did battle around the international match racing
scene back in the early nineties. Today, Jes Gram-Hansen was
the winner after a very tight four matches final against fellow
danish Jesper Radich.
On the way to the final the Gram-Hansen team defeated Australian
James Spithill 3 - 1 in the semi-finals as Jesper Radich
similarly swept Team NZL Cameron Appleton,
2-0.
Third place went to Australian James Spithill (OneWorld Challenge),
who defeated Cameron Appleton
of Team NZ 2-0 in the petite-final.
Other invited skippers included Morten Henriksen (Illbrück
Challenge) and Sebastien Col
(Le Défi Français)
