both winners that had great advantage on the concurrents.
Today, German sailor and great olympians Jochen Schumann
(Alinghi Challenge) is "il Campione dei Campioni".
He has remported the title, winning the final series 2-0
on the north-american Charlie McKee (OneWorld Challenge).
This event was the first match race with 8 olympic sailing
medal. Ben Ainslie finished third and Iain Percy fourth.
Yacht Club Costa Smeralda Commodore Gianfranco Alberini
presented the price giving directly on the sea, onboard
the Isle Boat, with a pasta and champagne party. The first
and second classified received a check recpectively of 15.000
and 5.000 USD.

Sensation to Porto-Cervo ! Till this afternoon, everything
was clear for the British Ben Ainslie and German Jochen
Schumann, assured to meet itself encounter during finale.
The second day of "petole" (a wind reaching six
knots and a blazing sun) will have finally been fatal for
the british.
Three victories in three regatta, Joathan McKee whose
match-racing is not the speciality will have be the man
of the day. From the first race of the day, it will have
managed to take the best on Jochen Schumann (assisted by
Craig Monk) after a spectacular regatta.
Overcome by Schumann, Ben Ainslie must win against the young
American in the last day series. 10 seconds for McKee will
put a definitive term in the English hopes.
Tomorrow, Jochen Schumann and Jonathan McKee will be in
finale.

progress to the semifinals after the second cross between
Round Robin.
The results of 1st Round Robin in the Coppa dei Campioni.
In a perfect day offshore Port Cervo: a 20 knoths wind and
sun, no waves, and 12 races sailed in total. Good start
for match race specialist Jochen Schuman, and surprising
score for the British Ben Aisnlie: both are leading their
group after the first three races.
Friday 29th will see the second round robin contested, with
a cross between first and last two skippers of the groups.
After this, the first four overall will qualify for the
semifinals on Saturday.
